Hi! Nice to meet you. I’m Judy.
I am a degree-qualified behavioural scientist and certified weight loss coach.
I started Mindful Weight Management because I’ve been on the roller coaster weight loss journey myself. I’ve packed on the kilos and been desperate to lose them. I’ve worn painfully tight clothes because I didn’t want to spend money on bigger sizes. I’ve judged myself and lost my energy and my confidence.
Like so many people, I tried diet programs that made me weigh my food, count calories and stick to set meal plans. They didn’t work in the long run because they were too difficult to maintain, I never felt supported and I always gained the weight back.
But I finally found the solution.
It took years of trial and error but I’ve lost the weight and kept it off for almost five years.
It will never come back because I know what to do now.
What I gained
When I was a few months into my final weight loss battle, a friend told me that I was ‘glowing’. I was amazed! Then I realised that my adult acne had disappeared, my hair was shinier and my nails were stronger. My husband used to wonder what was wrong with me because I had no energy. He never says that now.
I’ve gained less visible things too. I have more confidence and I’m more social. Most of all, I’ve learned not to judge myself so much and to focus on my health and wellbeing.
What I learned
I’ve learned that weight loss is a challenging, ongoing journey. It is much easier if you are supported by people who care about you and genuinely want you to succeed. You also need someone to keep you accountable and help you stay on track.
I’ve seen the benefits in my own life and I want you to see them in yours.
